Explore the old town with its cobbled back streets
and famous Orange Square (Plaza de Naranjos).
Located just off the main street it is home to the
16th Century town hall and tourist office where you
can pick up a detailed map and visitor information.
With stately buildings, thriving shops, art galleries,
bars, bistros and restaurants, Orange Square has
a vibrant buzz around the clock. Explore the
honeycomb of surrounding narrow streets where
you can find a diverse range of shops, boutiques
and cafés. There are numerous excellent
restaurants ranging from those specialising in fresh
fish and cordon bleu cooking to the typical back
street Spanish bars where you can enjoy some
tasty tapas and beer!
On the main street leading through Marbella you
can find an abundance of shops. Please note in
Marbella, like many other Spanish towns, shops
open from 10am until 2pm then close for siesta,
opening up again at 5.30pm until 8pm (often until
10pm in the summer months).
On the sea front in Marbella there is a beautiful
promenade (paseo maritimo). Flanked by inviting
restaurants, bars and shops this waterfront
promenade is perfect for an afternoon stroll. The
beaches here also offer the perfect haven for a
spot of sunbathing and if you are feeling more
adventurous there’s a myriad of watersports
available.
At night Marbella comes alive with an array of
different bars and restaurants. Whether you are
looking for a typical Spanish bodega, trendy wine
bar or salsa bar, Marbella has it all.
