Taxis

Taxis usually carry a chart of the official tariffs as authorized by the local town hall. When hailing a taxi, just look for the green light on the taxicab’s roof at night or for the green “libre” sign on the windscreen. Taxis are a good choice, especially when you want to avoid traffic by going on alternate routes and when going to the city centre, where parking can be a nightmare.

Marbella Bus Station

There is a direct bus from Málaga airport to Marbella bus station that only takes 45
minutes and costs 5.77€ each way.

Emergency Contact Numbers

Please note that it is not possible to use a mobile with a UK sim card to call any of the three digit emergency numbers. If you need to use your UK mobile to make an emergency call please ring (+34) 902 102 112. This is the general emergency number and the operator will put you through to the service you need.

Medical Emergencies

Should anyone in your party require medical attention there is a private hospital called Hospiten in Estepona. For emergencies dial (+34) 952 760 610. For appointments call (+34) 952 760 600. If you have Travel Insurance you should be able to claim for any expenses on your return to the UK. The telephone operators are English speaking.

If an insurance claim is involved, the crime has to be reported as the insurance company will require a reference number from the National Police Station. The National Police has now set up a service where crimes can be reported in English by telephone. Once you have made the report you can go to the National Police Station to sign it and get the reference number for any insurance claim, you must take your passport to collect your crime report.
